GJ air show 2008, September 26, 27, 28th... Blue Angels practice runs on 25 & 26th are shots from my house. Shots from 27th, actual airshow, are from the hills around airport. And, probably from the airport on the 28th. I have a ton of shots, will be posting as soon as I get more computer time... between the airshow, car show, and fall colors... not a lot of computer time. ;D
Blue Angels flying in front of Mt Garfield (Bookcliff mountain range). Grand Junction is in the Grand Valley, Western Colorado... surrounded by mountains. The airport is really close to the Bookcliffs, interviews with the Blue Angels note how close the mountains are around the valley, especially at the airport. :)
